How we handle your data.
Last updated: 8 July 2026
The Steward is a marketing-operations practice based in the Netherlands. When you fill in our contact form, e-mail us, or become a client, we handle personal data. Here is what happens with it.
What we collect
Through the signup form on this site: your name, e-mail address, and optionally company, phone number, focus area, and a short note about what you need. During service delivery, we handle access credentials and analytics data for the platforms you ask us to manage (Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console, etc.).
Why we need it
- To reply to your inquiry and prepare a proposal
- To carry out the marketing operations you engage us for
- To send weekly reports and communicate about the account
- To invoice you (name, company, address, VAT number where relevant)
Who we share it with
- Resend — sends the notification and confirmation e-mails when you use the signup form
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and runs the form endpoint
- Google, Meta, Microsoft — only if you are a client and we manage your accounts on those platforms, on your behalf and with your explicit consent
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, list-brokers, or unrelated third parties.
How long we keep it
- Signup-form data: up to 12 months if no engagement follows, then deleted
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years for accounting (statutory requirement in the Netherlands)
- Access credentials: rotated on engagement close and removed from our tooling
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what data we hold, correct it, or delete it. Reach us via the contact form and we reply within a week. You can also file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
